Early Life and Political Activism

Albin Kurti was born in Pristina, Kosovo, during the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.

In his youth, he became a student leader at the University of Pristina, where he served as the head of the Independent Students' Union. During this time, he organized student protests against the Yugoslav government's policies, advocating for Kosovo's separation from the federation.

Kosovar War

In 1997, Kurti joined the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) and participated in the Kosovo War against Serbian forces.

He played a key role in organizing student protests in Pristina and other cities during the conflict. In 1999, he was arrested by Serbian authorities and sentenced to 15 years in priso
